This judogi (a Japanese word referring to the clothing worn when practising judo) belonged to French champion David Douillet. He wore it during the last Games in which he took part, in Sydney in 2000. During the course of his career, David Douillet became France’s most successful judoka, with three Olympic medals, two of them gold, and four world championship titles.

After deciding to end his sports career, shortly after the Games in Sydney, David Douillet ran his own business, and has recently become a politician. Parallel to this, he regularly uses his fame and popularity for charitable causes.
