The Lotura sculpture was created in 1992 by Spaniard Eduarda Chillida (1924-2002). This steel tree now stands in The Museum’s Olympic Park.
The Basque sculptor had longstanding links with the Olympic Movement: In 1972, he designed one of the official posters for Munich 1972, and, in 1992, one of the posters for the Barcelona 1992 Games. He also produced a silkscreen print for the inauguration of The Olympic Museum in 1993.
