Maria Riesch started skiing at the age of three. Her talent was spotted very early, and she took part in the European Cup starting in the 2000-2001 season. Injured in 2005 and 2006, she could not take part in the Turin Games.

In Vancouver in 2010, however, she became a two-time Olympic medallist in slalom and super combined.

This ski suit would have been specially developed for this athlete, as her name is printed inside it.
